          Technology Requirements

          All programs at Assiniboine have certain technology requirements. With partial remote and online learning across many programs, students will require access to computer devices at home and may be required to bring these on campus when instructed in their program. See the three main requirement categories below.

          Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Programs

          For BYOD programs, students are expected to own or acquire a laptop computer that meets the minimum technical specifications for their program and bring on campus when instructed. 

          The following are the current BYOD programs:

          • Agribusiness
          • Business Administration Diplomas
          • Business Administration Advanced Diplomas
          • Civil Technician and Civil Technology
          • Culinary Arts
          • GIS (Geographic Information Systems)
          • Horticultural Production
          • Hotel and Restaurant Management
          • Land and Water Management
          • Office Administration Programs 
          • Practical Nursing
          • Sustainable Food Systems

          College-Owned, Student Loaned Device Programs

          For these programs, students will be issued a college-owned portable computer for use in the program. For the 2020-21 school year, Interactive Media Arts and Communications Engineering Technology fall into this category.
